Revealing your True Hue

Through the Bible, there are many uses of analogies to help us understand a principle. I love using analogies. I oftentime use and analogy to explain something to Brenna and oftentime (it's a good word, get over it) I exaggerate the analogy, so it's meaning gets lost. Hopefully, you'll be able to follow this analogy.

One thing i try to do is see God through His creation. Here at Emerson (where i work), we have a long entranceway that leads to our security gaurd shack and then onto campus. This road is lined with these small trees that, as of a couple weeks ago, have beautiful red-orange leaves on them. I've noticed that on sunny days, the sun shines through the leaves and multiplies their color. They give off a brilliant reddish orange hue on those days. On cloudy or rainy days, those same leaves look brown or even dead. So, on those days, they're just not as noticeable or nice to look at. So, here's kind of what God was telling me. When we let his Son shine through us, we are a much more vibrant person. People will want to know what's different about you and why you have that glow about you. When there's no sun or Son, we look pale and dark. Thoughts? Additions?

If is possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll, I thank. Good bye friend.

My English is no Portuguese, but that is an awesome analogy. I am also not trying to sell you anything either. I have been asking myself lately if my parents and older folks have this type of knowledge of God until I hear the sermons our preacher has on Sunday, but it still does not answer my thought completely. And if they do why is this world not being changed for Christ. I was also looking around at the concert kinzie and I went to this past week(Chris tomlin and Louie Giglio) and there were so many people there that were "into worship" with hands raised high. But the area is suffering from so much poverty and selfishness. If the people stop living either shielding their Son-light or faking it on Sunday's then things would happen. Amen brother. I like analogies also. I am visual so they help me relate. peace

Jesus preached through analogies time and time again. Jesus says a lot regarding a mustard seed, with it being like the Kingdom of God. I believe that Jesus wants to so fill us with His Holy Spirit that something will catch our eyes, and, like Jesus, we can understand what God is saying about his Kingdom. And then we can pray for the gift or spirit of teaching/interpretation.

Ohh, and yeah, I'd say that's spot on and way cool, the things that you said God revealed to you.
